Jennifer and I wanted to get together one last time before we left for NYC. Kensley and I drove down to St. Pete after school on Friday. We hung out at her house and she cooked a yummy dinner, of course. We had a great time chatting until almost midnight. The next morning she made homemade french toast. Totally amazing! She always teaches me a little something in the kitchen. I just love her. We met in a small group at our church when her daughter Emelyn was just born and Kensley was 6 months old. We were a little concerned that they wouldn't have much to talk about since they moved away almost two years ago, but they had fun together. When we got in the car to leave I asked Kensley how her time with Emelyn was and she said great, we are best friends! I asked Jennifer what Emelyn had to say and she said we do what we do best, laugh! Friendships take years to build. We have invested in one another for the last 12 years and gone through many ups and a couple downs. I know she will be one of my closest friends for life no matter how far away we are.
